Do's & Don't's of Cover letter
Never rely just on your resume to sum up your qualifications; always include a cover letter as well, and be sure to customise it to the position you're looking for.
Do's for Cover Letters
- Please explain why you are especially interested in THIS ROLE.
- Do emphasise the two or three aspects of your professional or personal background that are most pertinent to this position and best demonstrate your suitability for the position.
- Don't be afraid to be yourself. This means that you must compose the cover letter from scratch rather than using a template you saw online.

Don'ts for Cover letters:
- Avoid using euphemistic terms like "synchronicity" and "myriad" that you would never actually use.
- Don't go on and on forever (you remember, we're busy). maximum of two to three brief paragraphs.
- Avoid being phoney. Do not claim to be "passionate" about something you are not.
- Do not claim that you are only attempting to get experience for a future career or to get your foot in the door. Instead of recruiting someone who merely needs a job, the hiring manager wants to discover someone who is enthusiastic about this position.
